Hongfa
Folk Hotel is located at first courtyard of
the Southwest Street, which is the best place
in Pingyao. It is faced with the South Gate
and though the South Street, and it was built
as a palace for the empire of Kang Xi’s passing
when he went to the west area. Unfortunately,
it was destroyed in a fire, later, a rich
merchant build the Qiao Jia big house. During
the latest years of the 20th century, the
descendants of Qiao Jia made it as a hotel
and leased it out. Now the new hotel host’s
given name is Hong, he hopes that the hotel
can bring you comfort and good luck and impression.
After rebuilding and redecorating, Hongfa
Folk Hotel has become a comprehensive hotel
that integrates tourism, accommodation and
diet and amusement.
The hotel covers an area of more than 3000
square meters. The nine Jiuling storied buildings
is its main parts. It also has other parts
such as ancient stores, ancient gardens and
other ancient architectures of Ming and Qing
dynasty. There are 61 guest rooms including
5 luxury suites,16 folk heat able adobe sleeping
platforms and 40 standard rooms, meanwhile,
there is a big parking lot and a large dining

The hotel has a large area. It is said that
in the year of 1703, in order to welcome the
empire of Kang Xi, the government wanted to
call up people to build a palace here. Now
we build this western style hotel here that
has parking lot, suites, standard rooms with
the folk heat able adobe sleeping platforms
or wood beds; you can also taste the special
food and the western style food too.
The hotel has a best location, in the south;
you can walk several meters to get to the
Old City Wall; and you can enter the stores
of Ming and Qing Street in the north; and
the Temple of the Town God in the east, and
about one hundred meters’ walk, you will get
